Between Time and Eternity
To be in time is to be asleep—
Cradled by the ticking hours,
We drift where dreams and memories keep
Us lulled in fleeting, fragile powers.
The world spins by in measured beats,
Sunrise, sunset, day and night;
We chase the future, mourn repeats,
And blink away the inner light.
But to be awake is to step beyond,
Where clocks dissolve and moments cease;
Awareness, vast and pure, responds—
A boundless hush, a perfect peace.
Here, eternity unfolds its wings,
No past to haunt, no next to fear;
The soul, unbound by mortal strings,
Finds all of life is always here.
No longer lost in time’s embrace,
We taste the now, so deep, so wide;
Each breath, a touch of endless grace,
With nothing left to seek or hide.
To be in time is but to dream,
A shadow play, a whispered call;
To be awake is to redeem
The truth that we are one with all.
So let us wake, and gently see
The timeless heart that beats inside;
For in eternity, we’re free—
No more asleep, no need to hide.
