The World Belongs to You
When you release the grasping hand,
And let your restless longing cease,
You find, at last, you understand
The quiet miracle of peace.
There is no lacking, nothing missed—
No emptiness you need to fill;
Each breath, each moment, gently kissed
By life’s abundance, calm and still.
The world, once fenced by want and fear,
Now opens wide, a boundless view;
Each leaf, each star, each face draws near—
The world belongs, at last, to you.
No riches hoarded, none denied,
No hunger gnaws the heart within;
With open palms and arms spread wide,
You gather all the world akin.
For when you know you are enough,
And lack has vanished from your sight,
The world, in all its tender stuff,
Becomes your birthright and delight.
So walk in wonder, free and true—
With nothing needed, nothing owed;
The world belongs, in trust, to you—
A gift, a blessing, gently bestowed.
