 The Balance of Love


In the garden where affections bloom,

Beware the shade of selfless gloom.

For when you give your sun and rain,

Ensure your care is not in vain.


To be a priority, not just a choice,

Deserves a heart, a hand, a voice.

But if you’re merely on the side,

Let not your worth be pushed aside.


Love should be a two-way street,

With equal steps where lovers meet.

So guard your heart, and do not fall

For someone who won’t catch at all.


Stand firm, be strong, and you will see,

The love you give will set you free.

For when you value your own soul,

You’ll find a love that makes you whole.
