Option or Priority
Don’t bend your heart to those who stray,
Who call you last at end of day.
You gave your all, they gave you some—
A whisper when the storms had come.
You waited long, you stood in line,
While they chose others every time.
Yet still you hoped, and still you stayed,
While your own worth was left unpaid.
But hearts aren’t games, nor coins to toss,
And love should never feel like loss.
So rise—reclaim your dignity,
From chains of false security.
A truth to hold when feelings blur:
Don’t chase the ones unsure of her.
You are not second, last, or late—
You are not here to sit and wait.
So walk away, with lifted head,
From all the crumbs you once were fed.
Don’t treat as king or queen, or friend,
The ones who fake what they won’t send.
You’re not an option, not a spare—
You’re worthy of consistent care.
Let go of less, and you will see—
The right ones know your rarity.
