 Love is Portable


Love is a feather,

light on the breeze,

A gentle whisper

through the trees.

Pack it up in pockets,

tuck it in your bag,

A comforting warmth

when the world seems lag.


Carry it close,

in the palm of your hand,

Like a seashell secret

from a far-off land.

Bring it through cities,

across the seas,

Love is the compass,

guiding with ease.


Fold it in letters,

place it in a smile,

Love is portable,

mile after mile.

Through every journey,

in dark and in light,

Love is a lantern,

brilliant and bright.


No matter the distance,

however far you roam,

Love is the tether

that leads you home.

So bring it with you,

wherever you go,

A portable wonder,

a heart's gentle glow.
