The Silence Within
When the world is wild with noise and haste,
And storms of worry cloud the air,
There waits a silence, deep and chaste,
A hidden wellspring, calm and rare.
It lives beneath the racing mind,
Beyond the clamor, past the din—
A gentle space you seek and find
By turning quietly within.
There, in the hush, confusion clears;
The tangled thoughts begin to part.
The silence gathers all your fears
And folds them gently to your heart.
For in that stillness, truth is born—
The world’s commotion starts to fade;
You see the chaos, not with scorn,
But with compassion, unafraid.
The silence does not shut you out,
Nor make you deaf to others’ pain;
It gives you strength to move about
The world, and love through loss and strain.
So when the world is tempest-tossed,
And sense is scattered, far and thin—
Remember: nothing’s ever lost
When you return to peace within.
